Contributions to STEMM
Dr. Chalak is a physician-scientist in the Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at UT Southwestern. Here, she has “created a research, fellowship, and clinical triple program in Neonatal Neurology."
"This new program seeks to better brain outcomes and contribute to the growth and training of physicians in the pipeline."
Overcoming Challenges
Dr. Chalak sees obstacles along the path to becoming a physician-scientist as learning opportunities, believing that “what does not kill you will make you stronger.” She advised the next generation of women in STEMM:
